The Montgomery Parks Foundation awards five grants to support various Montgomery Parks initiatives

WHEATON, Md. —  The Montgomery Parks Foundation is pleased to announce five grants, totaling $85,000, that will be awarded to Montgomery Parks to support a variety of programs and projects in the county. Grants will support initiatives including art and special programming for seniors and teens.

A Montgomery Parks Foundation grant from 2023 supported the preservation of the Linden Oak as an artistic bench at Ken-Gar Local Park.

“The Foundation greatly appreciates the support of its donors which enables us to provide funding for these exciting and important initiatives,” said Katie Rictor, executive director of the Montgomery Parks Foundation. “We know park visitors and program participants will really enjoy the new amenities and opportunities afforded by these grants.”

Grants will be awarded for the following initiatives:

Grant recipients have one year to execute the projects. Projects supported by these grants are made possible through generous donations from park supporters.
