Montgomery Parks works with entities in the business and non-profit sectors to enhance parks and recreational facilities. These strategic partnerships provide a range of goods and services with benefits to the general public as well as to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Montgomery Parks Partners often participate in volunteer activities such as trail work and stream cleanups. Individuals and organizations have collaborated with us to host symposiums, meetings, and other events. Schools have created community gardens within parks that benefit both students and the community.

Our partners share our mission—to protect and interpret our valuable natural and cultural resources; balance demand for recreation with the need for conservation; offer various enjoyable recreational activities that encourage healthy lifestyles; and provide clean, safe, and accessible places.

Partnerships also enable the conversion of underutilized park sites into facilities or land dedicated to recreation, education, agriculture, and training. To that end, private entities operating within Montgomery Parks include:

Program Access Inclusion: Sports, Employment, Therapy

Public Education

Sports Recreation: Equestrian, Soccer, Tennis, Zip Line

Wildlife

Athletic Fields
