Wheaton Regional Park is divided into five significant areas across its 538 acres: The Shorefield AreaBrookside GardensBrookside Nature Center, Equestrian Center, and the Rubini Athletic Complex.

Get ready for a day filled with excitement, whether it’s climbing on the adventure playground, relaxing in the serenity of Brookside Gardens, taking your furry friend to the dog park, or enjoying a scenic wooded trail.

Shorefield Area

  • Picnic areas

Brookside Gardens

  • Visitor’s Center with The Shop at Brookside Gardens

  • Gardens with several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk

Brookside Nature Center

Tips for Visiting

  • Parking regulations are strictly enforced. Park in designated areas only.
  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash, unless inside the designated dog park area.
    Please Note: Brookside Gardens only allows service dogs.
  • Buses require parking permits and are not allowed in the park on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
